Hazardous Waste Operation and Emergency Response 40-hour

Course Description:
This course is specifically designed for workers who are involved in clean-up operations, voluntary clean-up operations, emergency response operations, and storage, disposal, or treatment of hazardous substances or uncontrolled hazardous waste sites. Topics include protection against hazardous chemicals, elimination of hazardous chemicals, safety of workers and the environment, OSHA regulations. This course covers topics included in 29 CFR 1910.120.
This course examines proper health and safety procedures and personal protection during work operations at hazardous waste sites.

Course Objectives:

The course is designed to develop an awareness of special safety and health hazards at hazardous waste sites.

Hazard identification and control
The proper Decontamination procedures that may be used mitigate the hazards.

Duration of the Course:

Five Days

Final Exam.:

Final Exam- Final Exam must be passed with a 70% to pass the course.

Certificates:

Upon successful completion of the course, participants will receive a certificate and completion card from NASP USA
